Description of some products
Public Severe Weather Outlook: The Public Severe Weather Outlook is
issued only on the same day as a major severe weather outbreak is expected.
It will include information as to what area is expected to be hit and
what they are expecting to happen.
Weather Watch County Outline: This product includes all of the counties
for a given State that are included in a Severe Thunderstorm Watch or
a Tornado Watch.
Special Weather Statements: This product is issued by the local NWS
office and often contains information of forecasted major weather events,
and general weather information. Example: Severe Weather Expected within
the next couple of days, Excessive high temps, etc.
Severe Weather Statements: This product is issued during a severe weather
event and usually contains information regarding expiration of warnings,
where a storm is currently at, or any damage that they have seen with
the storm and where it is heading.
Local Storm Reports: This product is issued after a weather event and
contains information about damage/high water/high winds.
Non Precipitation Warnings: This product is used to issue several types
of warnings. This can be issued for Dense Fog, High Winds (without storms).
